Well if you have an assembly line at the corn flake factory, you're bound to have crumbs. So what do you do? You come up with some recipes using the crumbs, you package them in a box and voila! New Income! Then you publish a free pamphlet so people will know some good ways to use the product. When I bought this booklet I immediately got a craving for my
mother's corn flake crumb chicken, so that's what we are having for supper.
Here are some scanned pages from the booklet I bought in an antiques shop.

Here is the original oven crusty chicken from Kellog's with some variations and a recipe for crunchy fish scallop. Click on any picture for a larger view.

Some more good main dish recipes from Kellogs. I might like the pork chops.

The corn flake crumb pie shell sounds intriguing. I've never tried it, but I have used boxed graham cracker crumbs. Same idea for the company. These guys were going green early on and weren't wasting anything.
James have you tried ritz or cheeze its? oh jeff and jacob loves cheeze its for baked chicken :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried either one. Ritz, I often use for casserole toppings. Cheeze-its sounds terrific. I'll be sure to try that next time we have baked chicken.
ReplyDeleteOh it is soooooooo good...
